*RUMBEK, 01 October 2013 (Gurtong) *- In a decree broadcasted on the
government Radio, David Mayom Riak was relived and Andrew Ayueu Karo
announced as the new commissioner.

The newly appointed commissioner Ayueu will take his seat once he is sworn
into office by Lakes state military governor.

However, the new ministerial appointees and advisors including commissioner
of headquarters and Awerial county commissioner will be first vetted by
Lakes State parliament in this week.

Mayom is one of the long serving commissioners in Lakes state.

He was appointed by former Governor Chol Tong Mayay on June 1, 2012 and
there was no reason given for his sacking even though the new governor has
announced changes in his government including reducing the number of
ministries.
