*UN Emergency Relief Chief called on the warring parties to respect
international humanitarian laws and ensure civilians' protection.*

Valerie Amos said the whole international community hopes that the current
situation would stabilize so that long term development efforts continue.

UN South Sudan Humanitarian Coordinator Toby Lanzer called on all leaders
to come together to calm down the situation to enable IDPs return home and
carry out their various activities.

He wondered how worst would the humanitarian situation be during the rainy
season.

Mr Lanzer said UN was revising the entire plan to communicate with the
donor community about the needs of civilians.
