*TORIT, 30 January 2014 [Gurtong] -* The Association says the signing of
the agreement is a fulfillment of both parties' recent pledge to restore
peace in the country.

Speaking to Gurtong on Wednesday, the newly elected TLFA Secretary Isaac
Oduho said his association strongly welcomes the latest efforts by the two
parties for practically showing their obligations as leaders of the country
through signing of the agreement despite their political differences.

Oduho, who spoke on behalf of his Association, urged both leaderships to
continue committing themselves to the peace deal they inked in Ethiopia
last Thursday.

"We in our Association are behind the struggle to ensure peace and
stability in the country," Oduho said.

"We hope all will be together and shake their hands, start repenting,
reconciling, forgiving, and work for unity of the people of South Sudan."

He said the leaders of the fighting once worked together but have suddenly
divided over ideologies which he decried for the loss of thousands of
innocent citizens.

He said sports (football) are a unifying factor in any country in the world
as he said they are not inclined to any political group.

He called on the leaders to remember, put God first and start working
together for peace, Unity and Development of this young nation.
