*YAMBIO, 06 February 2014 [Gurtong] - * Tombura Press man John Dunguyo
confirmed the recruitment of the new recruits.

The County Commissioner Charles Babiro Gbamisi said the registration
process is continuous and it will be followed by orientations and training
in the three Payams of Tombura County.

He said commissioner urged more young people to go and register their names
for defending their own country and urged them to hurry up so that they are
not left out for just being late.

"At this juncture, joining the army is for our own benefit and a collective
responsibility of each and everyone in the county, state and South Sudan at
large," he said.

He thanked the new recruits for their love and concern for their county,
state and the country. He also encouraged them to stay away from rumours.
Mr. Gbamiisi outlined that the trainees are not going for war but will
defend the nation against aggressors.

"I want to put it very clear to each and every citizen out there that this
recruitment is not for the current crisis in the country but it's a plan by
South Sudan government to recruit new forces that will remain ever for the
government of South Sudan," he said.

He called upon churches, civil society groups and other community
organization to support the new recruit by any means so that they are
motivated with their new career.

South Sudan vice president hon. James Wani Igga early last month visited
the state to mobilize the people into joining the national army recruit.
