*Eastern Equatoria Health ministry responded to needs of the IDPs by
sending its Primary Health Care Director to access the situation of new
arrivals and rescue them from diseases.*

Ercillia Lokulu visited IDPs at Torit Technical Institute and discovered
that children were suffering from measles, malnutrition and different
diseases due to long journey, Emmanuel Radio reported.

The Director said the ministry deployed a team to carry vaccination and
treat IDPs at Torit Technical School after assessment.

Ms Lokulu said Caritas Torit health department and the World Health
Organization were supporting the ministry by offering services to the IDPs.

Caritas Torit Health Officer Margaret Pacho said an outreach team will
travel to assess the situation of IDPs in Nimule and provide Tetanus
vaccination.

Over 300 IDPs from Bentiu camped at Torit Technical awaiting integration
with their relatives in Eastern Equatoria state.

The state now hosts about 35 thousand IDPs from Jonglei, Unity and Upper
Nile states.
