By James Deng Dimo * WAU, 11 Feb 2014 [Gurtong] -* Joseph Ukell Abango said last week, one party member Peter Tingo tied relationship with the SPLM/A in opposition but it does not mean the whole USAP is connected to the rebels. Abang's remarks follows accusation leveled against the party by the WBGS cabinet that USAP supports the Riek Machar faction. Mr. Abang emphasized that USAP with a representative at the peace talks in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Abba, does not have any connections with the rebellious group. "USAP party supports the current leadership under the elected President Salva Kiir Mayardit," Abang said. The former national General Education Minister said Tingo's position in the party is now vacant and will be filled soon. Early last week, the WBGS Governor Hassan Rizik Zachariah warned against anyone sabotaging the ongoing mobilization of young people into the national army and resources without mentioning any political force in the state. "We are aware of your activities against these mobilizations and we know what we can do to you. You will face its consequences if you are here in this state supporting the rebels," he warned.
