*Yirol, February 21, 2014 (Gurtong) - *These IDPs have been displaced by conflict in South Sudan's Jonglei. They have settled at various places like Adior, Nyang center, Malek, Shambe port, Thian Buma, Lang-Matot and Yirol town. NPA Crisis response team leader Mr. Peter Majur said the food aid to the IDPs is a gesture of solidarity. "In solidarity with people of South Sudan, NPA will do its best, with support from donors and partners, to respond to the humanitarian needs of the people affected by the conflict," said Majur on Tuesday. NPA is working in partnership with World Food Programme to distribute food to displaced people in Lakes state, Central Equatoria state, Jonglei state and Upper Nile state. NPA started working in South Sudan in 1986, giving humanitarian assistance to the people who were in need of relief aid. NPA currently operates in areas of humanitarian, mine action/disarmament, food security and livelihood, health services and support to civil society development.
