Three Killed in Intra-Clan Clashes Residents of a village in Tiriangore Boma of Torit County's Hiyala Payam have fled their homes following the killing of three people on Monday. 05 June 2015
By Peter Lokale Nakimangole * TORIT, 04 June 2015 [Gurtong]* – The Torit County Commissioner German Charles Ojok told Gurtong the residents, mostly women, children and the aged, have camped at Hiyala town and Haforere village respectively in a search for refuge or safety. The surprise attack involved a confrontation between two sub-villages of Ifarang and Tangul, where two men from the Ifarang side and a woman from the Tangul were killed. Commissioner Ojok said the wounded women are from Tangul sub-village where 72 houses were set ablaze and several looted. He said the cause of the conflict has not yet been established but disclosed that his administration in close collaboration with the state government has launched an investigation. “It is regrettable that the same village which constitutes Ifarang and Tangul sub-villages recently experienced clashes where a dozen died and 37 huts burnt”, he said. He regretted that confrontations continued despite efforts to reconcile the two communities. ------------------------------ [image: Bookmark and Share] <https://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=250&pub=xa-4a8952f0662ccc6f> Posted in: Home <http://www.gurtong.net/ECM/Editorial/tabid/124/ctl/CategoryView/mid/519/categoryId/1/Home.aspx> -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
