BY YIEN LAM, JUN/09/2015, SSN;

Since 2005, president Kiir has no logical ability to rule South Sudan. His
inability has been the issue that’s feared the most by people in the
Country. He has not been to the task in order to govern this great country.
If he did, this war should have not been fought as we speak.
Things could have been done politically as an expectation of many people in
the country.

Unfortunately, the booze came in with its own power in the mind of none
other than nation’s president. This gradually became problematic in his
decision making.

As the result of the booze whose companies have been the only development
seen in the Country, our nation South Sudan has been engulfed by war that
should not at all be fought ever on the history of the mankind.

There is no apparent reason for the nearly three years old country by then
to be in the situation that it is now. People now became the opposition
that tried their best to prevent this problem to occur.

Despise the effort of mentioned individuals who thumped their chests for
this nation, booze mixed with tribalism did not let that last. Now the
country is in the mess that its leader does not know how to fix it.

So now Kiir and booze are the contributing factors and continue to be the
worst enemies of our country. Believe it or not, there is no other way to
deal with them rather than unseat the man by we the people of South Sudan.
This is the only solution for the South Sudanese to once again leave in
peaceful environment.

Keeping him in power as IGAD suggested will never be the solution of our
country’s crises. It will not be so because when agreements are being made
in Addis Ababa or wherever they may be done, Kiir and his best adviser, the
booze, will destroy these deals when the dead-man-walking, Kiir, goes back
to Juba.

This is true and I think nobody ever will negate what I am saying because
we witnessed many things that had been changed when the walking body went
back to the city of Evil.

Not only that, since the cessation of hostility signed on 23 January 2014,
things were agreed on the venue of the peace talks in the presence of
Makuey lueth and Nhial Deng. When they reached Juba, they themselves also
changed the supposed language of peace to the language of war in the
airport.

As you may have known, Makuey lueth is really a son of lueth “lying” in
Dinka language which means son of mendacious person as the meaning of lueth
is. If that is so, why would the government choose an individual who in
fact has a father whose name is exactly as such, to be on the government
delegation that’s supposed to make peace? Are we really in our senses here?

To me, the government does not mean any peace at all. If it does, a
mendacious person as such cannot be information minister leave alone being
delegated to the peace in the first place.

Back to the point in this case, president Kiir was influenced by booze and
started it off by killings Nuer. Many thoughts that Nuer deserved not to be
killed by the regime because leader always thinks for the lives of his
people.

This was and still not the case in south Sudan as people may have thought.
This president does not think and will never be so of others’ lives in
south Sudan rather than his own booze.

“We” the people of this great nation must not only think about this crisis.
But must act as soon as possible for our own and the future of our children
not somebody’s leadership that is already failed us terribly. The man will
never think of anyone rather than his own beverages.

Nuer were slaughtered in broad daylight in the nation’s capital due to
inhumane thinking about goodness of the country than the booze. This should
have not happened at all because the country’s leader put his people first
and cannot kill his voters as we have witnessed in south Sudan.

This only happens in the country that is being ruled by a boozing president
who only thinks of his own kin and kith than the nation. If you are stable
person, what would be the reason for you to think of killings the entire
tribe in your mind? Would you be able to do that without influence of some
kind in your mindset?

Probably not in my view. There must be something wrong with such an
individual as we all know Kiir has problem in his booze-saturated mind.

In addition, not only the booze is an existential threat to our lives in
South Sudan, Dinka Council of Elders has also become an organization that
added the fuel into the fire. This group of Dinka Elders should think like
any elder in the world.

But here is not the case as many people may think of any old person to act
devastatingly as such in the country that they call home. As we all know,
any middle age persons cannot destroy his home as it has been the case in
South Sudan.

Old people always advise the youngsters with what may in fact be necessary
for their future lives. In this case, however, I don’t know what it means
to be Elder in this group. I would never say all Dinka Elders are behaving
as such because I have been with good number of them that cannot even
compare to this group of thugs ever.

Most Dinka Elders behave like any elder around the world. But the Dinka
Council of Elders as it is called, is the Main factor that is destroying
our country now and will continue to be the case if we don’t evict this
regime. Failing to do that, the agony of killings Y & Z will never be eased
in our country, believe me for certain.

Nonetheless, Booze and the Dinka Council of Elders did not stop short with
killing only Nuer. Now their next target became Shilluk as we all know.
They started it by killing General Bwogo Olieu on Wednesday April/1/2015 if
you can recall.

Believe it or not, this man and his two erroneous advisers, namely Booze
and Dinka Council of Elders will not get us out of this mess that they help
create. This is so because booze is taking a toll on the president while
the supposed elders of the nation advice the president insincerely as we
speak.

Many people thought if you’re giving a title of elder, is a precious gift
that should be used to say what should be good for anything in life. If
that was the thinking of many, myself included, let us drop that thinking
from today.

This Council of Elders is a group of evil that is intended to not vilify
certain people with in the country but the whole nation which is not the
duty of care that they’re supposed to do.

South Sudan will never be owned by neither Dinka nor any tribe in it. It is
called south Sudan for all 64 tribes that live there.

As matter of reality in this case, I sincercerely believe it is the
perilous group that was selected purposely by the regime to destroy our
Country. If that is so as I gave it a thought, we need to act swiftly and
responsibly as rapidly as we can to rescue our country from it.

Moreover, believe me though, the regime will not stop there as long as most
people start to know their rights. There will be individuals from naïve
tribes that may think they are out of this mess that may call it Nuer and
Shilluk problem. Let me advice you brothers/sisters. Don’t fool yourselves.

This is not a Nuer/Shilluk problem. It is indeed, South Sudan problem. When
Nuer and Shilluk are not there, you will be there for the regime. Believe
it or not, it is a reality in Kiir led government.

Therefore, I urge everyone to think clearly on this problem if you are
still foolishly being used by the regime. It will otherwise be better for
you to run faster before the beast gets hold of you. This man is ruthless
and he dispatches so many agents to get hold of whoever tries to oppose
him.

The power of the Booze and Dinka Council of Elders is paramount to all.
Kiir has no plan to take the country forward. The only one that I know of
is to kill more people by using his booze. That is it.

Lastly, as I read the news about Kuol Manyang being the one delegated by
the regime as attendee to the great lakes summit, I was not surprised at
all. He should be the one that represents the south Sudan. Don’t ask me why
because the reason is obvious.

Your answer may well be Wani Igga. Is that right? If that will be so,
should the lone guy as well as comedian be the ones in the Kiir’s South
Sudan?

Since Dr. Riek left Juba to the bush, there is no single egalitarian person
in the country to do what everyone may be thinking of as Wani to represent
the country as the vice president other than the man’s kin. Wani is the
kith in this circle.

But he is not trustworthy due to his flip flapping on the country’s issues.
Even if kiir has stopped doing his usual job as the president, this group
of kin will never ever give Igga the leadership of this country.

Kuol and Malong must be the front runners in such a game. Not Wani Igga
unless the Dinka Council of Elders disappear by accident.

Finally, South Sudan will never be in peace with itself as long as its
president is being advised by the booze and yhe Dinka Council of Elders.
Booze and Dinka Council of Elders are encroaching too much in Kiir’s
decision makings that is why our country is in turmoil.

Therefore, we need to take charge of our country and say no to the Boozed
president and Dinka Council of Elders by ousting him with all his allies
and taking our country back. Otherwise, kiir and his sycophants will not
hesitate killing more other than Nuer and Shilluk in the days to come if
not months, trust me.

   Yien Lam,

   Good and well researched article.
The blood thirsty Kiir who became a president by accident has long been
a disgrace to the people of South Sudan although he is inevitably a hero to
some section of his kith and kins. He is not just a weak and incompetent
alcoholic leader, he is also an immoral man and a womaniser who sexually
molested a teenage church choir ester in Kator Cathedral and words had it
that her parents were threatened and she got exiled to South Africa.
In comparison, the Jieng council of elders have been a total disaster to
the would be nation of South Sudan. Whereas the 63 tribes of South Sudan
have sacrificed and liberated South Sudan in good faith to be enjoyed by
all the 64 tribes, all along throughout the liberation struggle from 1955
to 2004, the Jieng council of evil operated clandestinely with a secret
mission. Their mission was to impose Jieng dynasty upon the rest of the
   communities.
There is no more hiding place, the double dealing of this wicked council
has been exposed. The question to the rest of the 63 tribes should be, what
do you do with an enemy that is not only a risk to your very existence, but
to the future and prosperity of your children’s children?

      Joana Adams,

It is up to us, the 63 tribes to either succumb to Dinka’s hegemony
or dislodge them from our hard earn freedom. Currently, Nuer tribe is the
only one of the 63 tribes resisting this hegemony being imposed
on us all.
With foreign military help pouring in to fight alongside Salva
Kiir and his
Dinka council of Elders couple with lack of logistic, it is becoming
increasingly difficult for Nuer to resist them alone. However,
giving up is
not in Nuer of yet. For instant, let us assume that Nuer tribe
isn’t there,
how do you see the future of South Sudan? To me, Dinka will just
walk over
the rest of the tribes with no problem. Nuer tribe is their pain in the
next. I suggest we all look deeply into what to do to bring Dinka to the
same level so we all see each other as South Sudanese.

         Mr GatChan,

Although I accept that the Nuer people had to respond militarily
in the wake of the Dec2013, massacre, it will be fair to
recognise the role
of others in fighting the regime of Salva Kiir. For instance
Gen Lado Gore
escaped with Dr. Riek Machar and is till with him todate. Gen
Lado Gore has
since been joined by many prominent Equatorians such as Dr.
Richard Mula,
Hon Henry Lodwar, Gen Martin Kenyi and others for instance
Dr. Peter Nyaba
and recently Gen Olony. You have also had of the REMNASA and
its recent
activities in Mundri and presumably Maridi.

There are some people within the SPLM -IO, who I understand are
marginalising Equatorians in -SPLM-IO on the grounds that they have no
forces on the ground. And ofcourse there are many others who
believe that a
war can only be fought with guns. I do not want to open a
quarrel with you
because I believe it will only benefit the enemy.
As to your question what would happen to the future of the South
Sudan, if the Nuers were not there is rather unfortunate
because from the
information we are getting, the leadership of both the SPLM –
in government
and SPLM-IO, do not want to give arms to Equatorians on their
side. Remeber
when Governor Wani Clement came out publicly about the
discrimination of
Equatorians in the SPLA. Why? Please do your own
investigation on this.

What I know is that it was Equatorians who started the liberation
war in 1955 and were joined by people from Upper Nile and
Baha elGhazal
much later. I also know that the reasons why both the Dinka
and Nuers are
armed and instantly spark wars or rebellion is because during
the interim
period 2005-2011 and 2011-2013, the Dinka president and the
then Nuer Vice
President disproportionally absorbed their tribes men into
the supposed
national army the SPLA. You will ofcourse remember the rebellion,
absorption and counter rebellions which characterised the failure of
Kiir/Machar government which they admitted to in Arusha. In
fact one can
say that they unwittingly militarised even the civilian
population to the
extend that this will continue to pose security threats long after any
         peace agreement is reached.
Now, you will appreciate that going into war is not like getting
up and going to fetch a bucket of water from the river or
going to herd
cattle. You do need to have a vision, strategise and have
resources. During
the 21 years war, the SPLA was boosted by arms from Col
Gaddafi of Libya
and arms and other support from Col Mengisto of Ethiopia. The military
successes of the SPLA in the late 80,s was entirely
attributable to them.
Today as you have mentioned the Jubà regime is being militarily
supported by Uganda, boosted by SPLA- North. You would have
heard from the
media that Sudan is supporting the SPLM-IO, The sinister plot
of the Dinka
to control the South Sudan began during the regional
government in the 70,s
Consolidated by Garang for 21 years, and executed jointly by
Kiir and the
Jieng Council of elders during the last 10 years.
Now it may appear to you that Equatorians are during nothing but I
don’t think so brother GatChan…if it took the Jieng 43 years
to plan how to
wreck havoc, on the rest of us, don’t expect Equatoians to
prepare for war
over night. But I would add that, unlike the two tribes in
question, since
1955, Equatorians have made fundamental mistake, which is to
believe in
nationalism where as the Dinka clearly put their tribe first.
Lets hope the
Nuer will not be tempted to do like wise.
The future for South Sudan depends on changing tribal visions into
a national vision where the country will be a home for all
the 64 tribes.
As long as some people think that they are the majority and
must rule even
when they clearly have neither the vision nor the competence,
the future
will be dark for a long time come. Equally, for the Nuer or
any other tribe
to follow the footstep of the Dinka will be futile. It seems a lot of
learning needs to be done by all.

         Lets hope for the best.

   Dear Yien Lam,

I am independence minded and thinking as human who learn how to response
to other human beings. I read your article and I appreciated your writing
because you focused to people you are talking to like president and Dinka
Council of Elders, but not every Dinka elders or any Dinka in South Sudan.
We need to learn to think differently and that is who I am. When I read the
way many South Sudanese intellectuals response and comments the articles
here in this Southsudannation.com I feel caution and ask myself why many
South Sudanese intellectuals response and comments very negatively.
And because of that, I think it will be understandable if we learn how
to differentiate between the government and tribes because there are
parallelism in politic. In this government there are many people from 64
South Sudanese tribes are against President Kiir and many are supporting
him. We need to be open-minded otherwise our being call intellectuals would
be meaningless. Mr. Joana Adams says “Jieeng Council of Evil” that mean Mr.
Adams is against the whole tribe including those who are against the
   government.
As open-mined person, I would like South Sudanese intellectuals to think
first before they comments because people will judge you according to your
reasonable thinking. What you think as intellectual it will bring the
change to the community and that is why you see the other communities are
growing. You will never bring the change to your community through
tribalism calling the whole tribe evil while there are many people within
this tribe are against the government.
We have been fighting with North Sudanese politicians for many years,
they killed many Southern Sudanese innocents and politicians because we are
African and they are Arab. Can we call Omar al-Bashir tribe evil because
Omar killed many Southern Sudanese? The SPLA/M were fighting with
government, but not tribe like what we are doing in South Sudan. Many of us
are confusing and do not know what they are doing since independence. The
whole country is suffering and many people are dying around the country
including this evil tribe according to what you call them. In Bahr el
Ghazal General Dau Aturjong and Brigadier General Khamis abdel are fighting
there against government and they are from this evil tribe. Mabior Garang
Mabior and Dhieu are also Dinka are they also evils? There is no evil
tribe, but there are evil people in the world and that is what many of us
   should have to understand.
I think many of you understand my logically argument because I am not
against any individuals in South Sudan, but I am against those who do not
know the different between the government and tribes. Government is the
system that country or community governed, but tribe is a distinct people
dependent on their land for their livelihood. This is what I think many of
us should have to understand when we write to public or response to other
writers. Thank you for your cooperation and God bless you all.

   Fracis Mangok Angier;
It is very unfortunate that the media is the best tool to defame and
smear opponents, these tactics have being used for hundreds and thousands
of years before you and I ever took our first breath, so we dont need to
blame the reporters or journalists. There is a saying that goes; “do not
shoot the messenger”. Instead let us look inside our own communities and
pinpoint out the bad apples, isolate them and start to show the better side
of us, obviously “there is no smoke without fire”, those who are concious
and sensitive about media bursting will need to show the good parts of our
societies hoping that one day in distant future positive messages will
overcome the negatives. But as for now our tribes’ names have been thrown
into dirty and muddy water, but what does a person who falls in muddy water
do? The first thing is to look for clean water and wash off the mud.
Unfortunately those few individuals you mentioned here are not enough to
overturn the images created over the years during the struggles. It will
take more than than those few individuals, in fact it takes the whole
nation to change the history, just a reminder, when Riek rebelled the Nuers
paid heavy price, same happened to Murle, Chollo, when Martin Kenyi joined
SPLA IO the entire Ma’di villages was set ablaze, now what is happening in
Mundri? And what has happened to the family members of Gen. Aturjong who
were in Juba, we all remember how his brother was kidnapped, who knows his
whereabouts now. Even to Mabior, do you think he still has siblings in Juba
today? If any they must be going through hell in the hands of Kirr’s
security agents. I also think whenever commenters mention the name Dinka,
it refers to ideology of the majority as opposed to individuals like
yourself and those good Dinkas. So brother take heart and do not allow your
good judgements be conquered by the negatives but rather focus on doing the
right things, “actions speak louder than words” and just remember, “good
deeds goes very a long way”

But I have to give credit where it’s due, the author has done an
   exceptional job on this article.
Let us keep working for a better future and the day shall come when all
this rumbling and bustling shall become history hopefully we might learn
from our mistakes, ” when you fail once it is a lesson but when you fail
   twice it is stupidity”.

Remember:”those who do not learn from history are doom to repeat their
   past mistakes”
   Cheers

      Eli,

Understand that war is war. Always war include lose of human life,
damages of property, and household livelihood destruction. If people fear
of lose of human life and property, the regime will never change
and those
of kind of people will remain nothing, but followers and slaves who live
      under endless tortures.

If South Sudanese care too much about losing their own lives, then
they should had never declared war on Sudan government, which mistreat
them. If someone is trying to destroy your own good livelihood, then why
are you not doing the same thing to that person.

The person who mistreat others wants others to have bad lives, while
he or she wants to have a good lives. Why do you allow the person who
mistreats you and threatening your life lives in a comfortable lives?
Living in submission and surrendered will never free you and your entire
life of sibling and sibling’s sibling from dictatorship and slavery.

Group of confused people always do not know where is the right way and
   the right reasons.
The war is about greed and the hyenas who are waiting ready meat killed
by the lion. Without shame they will show a breave faces that they own the
meat. Secondly illitracy is a deadly desease because the wise exploite the
fools who did not have independent thinking. The current suffering is about
power struggle those hungery dogs if they get what they want this war will
stop in one week. The wolfs will even use the dirtiest political tools like
tribalism to get to power while he know it is a dangeroius tool in mordern
   politics.
Will south sudan be stable if one tribe is eliminated or singled to be a
bad tribe? The answer is No and why did politicians insist to use the cheap
wapon because they want a short cut.

   Dear Eli Wani,

St. Francis says, “Where there is hatred, let me sow love.” As South
Sudanese I love to sow love into where there is hatred in South Sudanese
hearts because I love to see them love one another as brothers and sisters.
I do not want to see hatred in you because you are brothers and sisters who
God created to live in South Sudan in Africa. I have always preach the
peace and love just because I am against hatred and tribalism.

As South Sudanese this is not the movement for killing one another over
the leadership it is a time to develop your country. Allow orphans and
widows children to learn and become the future generations for the new
nation. I feel discourage when I see them struggling and fighting with
lives in refugee camp. This is not a time for them to live without going to
school like many other children around the world. Many of us fought for 21
years because of these children who are suffering in the camp. What is the
gifts you people prepared for those who lost their lives because of this
nation of South Sudan? I think the education, development, freedom and
prosperity of their children who left behind would be the gifts for them.

South Sudan is belonging to all of us even though there are many tribes
paid the highest price than other, but it is because of the freedom of
their brothers and sisters who are suffering in the hands of oppressors.
During the war between South and North Sudan, Muonyjieeng and Nuer paid the
highest prices in the war because of population, but this cannot allow them
to harsh rule and oppress their minority brothers and sisters. You
liberated your people to enjoy the fruits of your suffering, Dr. John
Garang died without tasting the fruits of his long struggling because of
us. Jesus Christ died without enjoying his organization and there are many
because being liberator is very important and need you to consider and love
those who you are suffering for.

In order to avoid disagreement in leadership it needs people to be
open-minded and because of that I think the Dinka Council of Elders should
have to understand that they are not only elders to bring the peace in
South Sudan. For peace to come it needs the organization of South Sudanese
Council of Elders to sit together and discuss this ongoing crisis otherwise
one tribe of council of elders would never bring the peace. Peace needs the
collective of voices and that is what I think it will bring the peace to
South Sudan. I am not against Dinka Council of Elders to talk about peace,
but they need to involve their Tribes Council of Elders to share the peace
   negotiation. I love you all.

   Francis
It is good that you mentioned about St. Francis of Asisi, whose humble
background have captivated the whole good hearted peace lovers around the
globe. Our issue in S Sudan is not religious issue as of now yet, and even
if it is then you are preaching to the wrong crowd. Your quoting about
Jesus Christ is a good thing but comparing Jesus to John Garang is a
blesphemy and an abomination. To begin with, John Garang was an over
ambitious and a corrupt man, he is the cause of most of the conflicts he
left behind, he sowed the seed of tribalism and division amongst the people
of South Sudan, Garang hated the Equatorians, he hated the Nuers, hated the
Chollos, he hated the people of W Bahr Ghazal, his movement was only to
liberate the Dinkas and he wanted to take Khartoum originally a Dinka land
back from the Jalaba by using others, particularly, the poor Nubians and
the people of Southern Blue Nile, the Beja tribe and finally the Furs.
Buthe failed to convince the majority of Southerners who only wanted to
seperate from North since even before the Anya Nya movements.
I still remember when Garang would tell his soldiers in your Dinka
language that “this gun you are carrying is your mother, is your father, is
your wife, is your food, is your everything”. What does that tells to an
illitrate un discipline naked man coming from cow camps? It says you can
commit any crime against humanity with that gun. Also there was phrase in
morale song that was used by SPLA soldiers it says; ” sala abuk adi tataga,
sala umak adi talaga, sala akuk adi talaga, sala okut taki adi hia
talaga………” I hope you are old enough to remember the events of yester
years. Simply this song means kill everybody, it doesn’t matter if they are
your people or enemy. Why do you think people in Equatoria rejected John
Garang’s model of rebellion, because, let’s be honest; the first objective
of SPLA was to retaliate against the Equatorians because of kokora
separation. So, how could you be talking of forgiveness while Dinkas until
to date are still holding grudges of over 35 years during the divisions of
regions? To me you are just another one of SPLA propagandist.

Mr Mangok Agier, do not use the name of God for your personal gains,
assuming that the audience are going to fall for your shallow political
ambitions trying to neutralize the situation by using religion, leave the
old politics of colonial brainwashing to the Europeans. In the first place
South Sudan is a secular society, whether you Dinkas like it or not the
only way out is to accept true reforms, and that is where SPLA falls so
short, they have no longterm vision for the nation. SPLA as a party failed
from the get go, there was no reconciliation after the signing of CPA or
after independence, SPLA should have asked for forgiveness from the nation
for the atrocities they committed. SPLA was not the first to pick up arms
against the Khartoum government. Southerners struggled against European
colonizers, against Turko-Egyptian, against the Arabs and now again
Southerners are forced to fight against Dinka domination and SPLA
   cruelties.

Francis, tell me for how long should our children, the orphans, the
widows and the elderly continue to suffer in the hands of our own
government now in Juba, I think you need to first preach your sermons to
the bourgeois and epicureans in Juba who are so rigid and refuse the
reforms that the public is asking for.

Francis, you message of peace does resonate with me and I believe with
many other fellow country men and women in peace, but does your message
really appeal to the bloodthirsty SPLA? Does it mean anything to Dinka
Council of Elders? Unfortunately the answer is most likely NO, they in turn
would love a preacher like you to divert people’s attentions, wishing that
by using “the name of God” that people will remain silent, South Sudanese
are no more like the “darwisheen” of Darfurians who were told by the Arabs
to wear hijabs and sew verses of Qur’an on their belts and go to kill the
Kaffirs in South Sudan while the real Arabs don’t even read the book nor do
they pray five times a day, but they are busy stealing and robbing the
nation in the name of Allah.
Please do not lie to the people mr Preacher; in the book of Galatians 6,
verse 7; Apostle Paul told them this; “Do not be deceived: God cannot be
mocked. A man reaps what he sows”. Please brother you need to go and read
your Bible again, and next time come with the truth and not an SPLA gospel
   version.

A Cake must be divided equally for all to benefit. That’s power sharing
in government. In order to peacefully run the country, all must be
represented on board. The tragedy of South Sudan is lack of an
understanding the consequences of greed, when it comes to power sharing. As
a matter of fact, do not be deceived, that you can enjoy the cake alone for
ever, before it is snatched away from your mouth. For peace to prevail in
this new nation, all the 64 ethnic groups should have insurance to
participate and have ownership. Otherwise, south Sudan is locked up in
civil strive, for decades to come. At the end, the country shall not exist
any more. My question is,was that the objective of our liberation struggle?
