Dear All,
Sad news today, our former Human Rights Watch colleague and friend, Jemera Rone, has died in Washington DC. She was an exceptional researcher and also someone with great passion and love for Sudan and South Sudan, who worked tirelessly for improvements in human rights there. Below are links to two of her most important reports, both which sadly remain relevant today. On human rights abuses connected to oil in South Sudan and Sudan, this extraordinary report: http://www.hrw.org/reports/2003/sudan1103/sudanprint.pdf And on the human rights causes of famine in South Sudan: http://www.hrw.org/reports/1999/sudan/ We’re all very sad. -- -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
