The Undersecretary in the Ministry of Labour calls on employers and
employees to dialogue on pay adjustment to cope with currency
devaluation in South Sudan.

Mary Hillary Wani advises non-governmental organizations to make
salary adjustment to avoid conflicts for stable service delivery and
loyalty to employment.

The Undersecretary encourages employers to look at the situation of
employees’ pay to boost commitment to work.

Undersecretary Hillary discloses that the Ministry of Labour will
inspect all private organisations any time this week to check on work
permits for aliens, working conditions and staff welfare.

The Labour Undersecretary says foreign workers without permits shall be fined.

Undersecretary Hillary last week issued a circular instructing all
foreign workers to obtain valid work permits from the Ministry of
Labour.

South Sudan hosts many foreign workers in different institutions and
non-governmental organisations without legal documents, the
Undersecretary says.
