*WAU* – The killing spree that took place in an alleged South Sudan Army attack against her own citizens resulted in the loss of lives of more than 4,000 people and 120,0000 people displaced into the UN Protection of Civilian Sites in Wau Town. The attack came at the eve of a heightened dispute between the Governor of Wau State, Gen. Allias Waya and Zonal Commander; Maj. General Thayip Gatluak who executed the order issued by President Salva Kiir a night before the killing ensued, firing Governor Alias Waya from his position. Commander of unit 7 in Western Barh el ghazal State, in accordance with the support from the Newly appointed Governor Mayar, continued the merciless killing of the citizens of Wau, saying they are not loyal to the government’s decree that give birth to 28 States and the removal of Governor Alias from gubernatorial position. A resident of Wau town during our correspondence said that “this is not the first time the South Sudan Army under Salva Kiir killed the citizens of Wau. In 2012, more than a dozen got killed during a peaceful protest organized by students and ordinary citizens who fad up with the system.” In the same style of killing that took place on December 15, 2013, when the genocide took place in Juba, the capital of the Republic of South Sudan, the Wau people are suffering in the hand of their own people whom Rocco Taban, the Arc Bishop has portrayed as monkey leaders, and Devil leaders are ruling the South Sudanese. A woman who spoke on condition of animosity at UNMIS camps “reported that civilians were tied and made to sit lying while being beaten and tortured. Some army officers told the civilians to pray to their God if he could save them tonight,” she said. “It is a door to door killing campaign as we speak” she uttered. It is also believed, the establishment order to have increased the number of the states to 28 by the President is a political agenda being executed that way to silence the masses from going on street. With the looming economic collapse, some have rumored that the South Sudan Army has allegedly been accused of looting civilians properties a week prior to violent situation causing the problem to grow in a fast faced speed with the result being seen as the killing of civilians in the town today.
