Cases of sexually transmitted diseases on the rise in Abyei: Health officials ABYEI (15 Sep.)
Pier and Saint Joseph's Clinics in the disputed area of Abyei have reported increasing cases of sexually transmitted diseases in the area this week, health officials said. Hussein Asamany, Lab Technician at Pier Clinic, told Radio Tamazuj that that the facility records syphilis or gonorrhoea cases out of every three patients visiting the clinic, saying they have recorded more than 50 gonorrhoea cases so far. Meanwhile, Ayom Karshom, Doctor of the Abyei Hospital, attributed the problem to multiple sexual relationships among youth. Karshom called on the youth to use condom in an attempt to contain sexually transmitted diseases in the area. -- To post to this group, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org To unsubscribe from this group, send email to southsudankob+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
