JUBA (17 Sep.)

In a competitive football played at Ngundeng football field in the Juba
protection of civilians camp in Juba on Wednesday, Maale football club
faced Latjor and defeated them 3–1.

On the same field Black United FC faced KDD Football club and defeated them
4-3.

This game was planned by Nile Star, a child protection national NGO working
in the PoC. The winners walked away with three balls, a pump, and 48
uniforms for both clubs and Nile Star t-shirts. The losers walked away with
a ball and a pump.

Gai Yoaah Gai, the coach for Maale FC appreciate the organization for the
initiative saying this will encouraged many clubs formed in the camp to
come for practice. He says most of the football supplies are not available
as there is not an NGO standing to support them.

Nile Star is supported by UNICEF. The organization also organized a
volleyball tournament for adults last week in Juba PoC.
