New maternity ward in Aweil to open once equipment arrives AWEIL (13 Oct.) Construction of a new maternity ward in Aweil hospital has been completed, doctors tell Radio Tamazuj.
Supported by the Canadian government, the ward can serve up to 30 patients once equipment is installed. "If the installation of equipment is done, then the national minister of health Dr. Riek Gai will come back to officially open it,” Dr. Mark Kuol said in an interview to Radio Tamazuj this week.
