Do Not Silent Moderating Voices.

"We the people, the government and friends of South Sudan, should take
advantage of them: listen to them and use them".

04 November 2016 By Jacob J Akol

In a society or country divided by ethnicity or tribalism, sober heads must
prevail. The road to peace and resolution of the root of the problems is
assured only through their moderating voices.

These moderating voices are currently available amongst our ethnic
communities in South Sudan.

They turn enquiry into their own communities, focussing on what it is they
are not doing right to antegonise those who are hostile to them; and how
they can approach their supposed enemies in a more accommodating manner for
a win-win solution.

We the people, the government and friends of South Sudan, should take
advantage of them: listen to them and use them.

Silent these moderating voices, as extremists and rebels in each of our
communities are trying so hard to do, and we are left with nothing but
inter and intra ethnic/tribal, clan and sectional wars, revenge and counter
revenge; a lose-lose solution leading to total disintegration of the nation.

We should not even attempt kill moderating voices. They are not the problem.
