CRNThursday, December 1, 2016 - 15:39
The new President of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC praises
the presence of German Embassy in South Sudan amidst conflicts. Bishop
Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala made the compliments during a courtesy visit
to German Ambassador, Johannes Lehne on Wednesday.
Bishop Hiiboro says German presence in the country speaks a lot about love
for South Sudan. German Ambassador, Johannes Lehne intends to explore
Church peace mediation and reconciliation efforts.
He also wants to understand the situation of local communities in the
country from the church leaders.
The Federal Republic of Germany is providing fast and effective aid to
internally displaced persons in South Sudan and refugees in the
neighbouring countries. Germany is funding non-governmental organizations’
projects like AMREF, Welthungerhilfe and VSF.
