Norway denies plot to change South Sudan government JUBA (14 Jan.) The Norwegian government has categorically rejected the allegations made recently by South Sudan's army that its representatives were involved in a plot to change the current government in South Sudan. "The Government of Norway categorically rejects the allegations made on 12 January that representatives of Norway together with Troika colleagues, have been involved in discussions in a meeting in Nairobi on changing the leadership of South Sudan," partly reads a statment on the website of the Norwegian embassy in South Sudan. The statement further said these are false accusations and a willful and gross misrepresentation of Norwegian policy, which for so long has focused on contributing to peace and development in South Sudan and for its people. According to the statement, Norway does not hold any opinions, nor interfere, in the democratic leadership in any countries.
