The Council of Minister approves a humanitarian response plan costing one point six billion US Dollars, says Government Spokesperson. Michael Makuei Lueth says the proposal is expected to benefit 5.8 million South Sudanese mainly internally displaced persons or IDPs. The government will only contribute one percentage of the total cost for repatriation, rehabilitation and resettlement of IDPs, he says. The minister expects the largest contribution from the international community. The official says at least ten thousand IDPs have returned home. The government has spent ten million South Sudanese Pounds for repatriating IDPs, declares spokesperson Makuei. The government humanitarian plan comes amidst reports of increasing displacement in the country as fighting continues. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
