Wau chamber of commerce announces new price of fuel WAU (15 Feb.) The leadership of Chamber of Commerce in Wau town in South Sudan’s Wau State has announced a new fixed price for fuel at the market in the town. In a press statement after a meeting with Wau Minister of Finance on Tuesday, Wol Charles, Chairperson of Chamber of Commerce in Wau town, said they decided to set a new price for fuel in the town. He further said that the new price of one litter of gasoline is 170 South Sudanese Pounds at the market. Wol pointed out that petrol stations in Wau town have remained empty over the past four months, while people import fuel from Aweil town by motorcycles. He noted that those who import fuel from Aweil town used to sell it at high prices, saying one litter of petrol is being sold at 500 SSP, and a gallon of diesel costs 650 SSP. Charles asked local traders to sell fuel in Wau town with the same prices in Awiel town in order to attract more people to supply fuel. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
