Observer calls for inclusive dialogue in South Sudan JUBA (6 Mar.) A South Sudanese observer has called for a dialogue initiative involving all armed opposition groups for the sake of peace and stability in the country.“There is no another way for peace in South Sudan except the dialogue, but for the dialogue to succeed, the inclusivity must be considered by including people like Riek Machar, Pagan Amum, Lam Akol and others,” said Andrea Mach Mabior, Director of Kush Centre for Media. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, Mabior urged the National Dialogue committee formed by President Salva Kiir to contact the armed opposition groups so they could join the dialogue initiative. The South Sudanese observer described Kiir’s dialogue as a “good initiative” for finding solutions to South Sudan’s problems.Mabior also urged the opposition group to denounce violence and join the dialogue process, saying lack of political remains a big challenge facing the National Dialogue in the country.Various groups of civil society organizations including the Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) have been calling for return to an inclusive political process in South Sudan. Last month, President Kiir said the National Dialogue is not a trick of his government to cling onto power, pointing out that it is a national undertaking designed to unite the people of South Sudan. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
