Police arrest criminal group in Aweil town AWEIL (13 Mar.) Several members of gangs known locally as ‘niggers’ have been arrested by police authorities over frequent attacks on civilians in residential areas in Aweil town last week, a top police officer said. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, Acting Police Commissioner in Aweil, Lt. Colonel Nofel Abdullah, accused the criminal group of carrying out attacks on citizens at Maper, Hai Kabat and Apada residential areas.He pointed out that the police have arrested many gangs during night patrols in the area. Police authorities announced a new security plan to fight against the criminal group by dividing the state into two zones.
