Shooting began a year ago, during the fighting season when SPLA-N and Sudan government soldiers were battling for territory. Our team followed four Nuba people - a student, a mother, a journalist, and a rebel soldier - whose stories are woven together for an experience both personal and eye-opening. It was created in collaboration with NYT VR, AJ+ and Arte. In addition to SXSW®, "We Who Remain" will be screened this month at CPH:DOX, Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival.
