Six health facilities crippled by insecurity in Yei River State YEI (31 Mar.) About six health facilities in Yei River State have stopped functioning due to the ongoing conflict in the area, causing massive suffering of people especially the elderly, women and children, a top state official said. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, Governor David Lokonga Moses said the closure of the six health facilities, besides the exit of humanitarian organizations in the area has caused untold suffering of citizens who are facing famine and diseases. The official further said the insecurity situation in Tore, Lasu, Morobo, Kaya, Kubira and Lainya has forced all health workers to flee for safety. He added that the health facilities have been abandoned without any medical supplies.
