This comes during his meeting with member of the Unite States Congress, Thomas Rooney at the State House in Juba on Saturday. In a press statement shortly after the meeting, Thomas reiterated the US administration’s commitment to support the people of South Sudan. For his part, South Sudan’s Minister of Information, Michael Makuei said President Kiir thanked the US government for supporting the country.
