West Kordofan government to allocate land for refugee camps AL FULA (12 Apr.) Authorities in Sudan’s West Kordofan State have agreed to give the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) two locations to establish camps for South Sudanese refugees who are fleeing due to violence in their country. The Governor of West Kordofan State, Abulgasim Al Amin Baraka, told the press on Monday that the camps will help accommodate the refugees and ease the pressure from limited services available to host communities. He also said that it will be easier to provide services to refugees in a central location. The Sudanese government and aid agencies said thousands of South Sudanese refugees crossed the border into neighbouring Sudan due to the ongoing fighting in South Sudan. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
