The Commissioner of Paloc County in Western Lakes State, Madhak Will Jang has said that armed youth from neighboring Eastern Lakes State launched an attack in Adigom cattle camps on Saturday killing 6 people including children. 24 April 2017 6 Killed Including Children In A Cattle Raid In Paloc County Cattle In Western Lakes State grazing in Paloc County [Photo by Mabor Riak Magok] By Mabor Riak Magok RUMBEK, 24 April 2017 [Gurtong] - Madhak Wiljang said that the attackers raided all cattle in the camp, in the incident that occurred between 4:30 am to 7 am. “The attackers were well armed with more PKMs and AK47 and some unique riffles seemed to be like 12” said the Commissioner. He explained that it is the second raiding in Paloc County after last month when over 1,498 herds of cattle were raided by neighboring Eastern Lakes State youth. Madhak calls upon the authorities in Eastern Lakes State to recover and return the raided cattle. He appealed to the government and UN Humanitarian agencies in the State to deliver emergency food assistance to the affected population in Paloc County who have lost everything as a result of the raiding.
