Malnutrition cases on the rise in Jur River

Wau Teaching Hospital in South Sudan’s Wau State has recorded an increase
in the number of malnutrition cases among children in Jur River County, a
medical official said.

The source, who preferred anonymity, told Radio Tamazuj on Thursday that
the number of malnutrition cases admitted to the hospital this month could
reach 45, saying the malnourished children are among displaced families
from Jur River County.

Dozens of civilians were killed and thousands displaced from Jur River
County after attacks by herders from Tonj State last month.
