(Radio Tamazuj) Two civil society activists who were arrested in Bor own after staging protests against the government-led peace initiative between Jonglei and Boma states last week, have escaped from the state police prison on Sunday. Deng Ayang and Geu Akou escaped after staying in jail for four days without trial.Speaking to the Radio Tamazuj on Monday, one of the activists who participated in the peaceful protests, confirmed that his colleagues had escaped from jail.“I was informed by my colleagues that they have escaped from the police illegally and police authorities are still looking for us,” he said.
