Yei to deploy 250 forces to control security situation

Radio EasterMonday, May 15, 2017 - 16:27

Yei Police Commissioner says they are planning to deploy 250 security
personnel within five miles from the town for five months to control the
situation.

Major General Yoasa Lujang Kamba reveals Monday to Radio Easter that the
250 soldiers will be deployed after three days in five sections as joint
operations. The target is to arrest those committing mass killing, raping,
looting and possessing illegal guns, he explains.

The Police Commissioner says they want also to control those harvesting
some people’s gardens unlawfully. He notes that any person who wants to
harvest his/her garden must have a permission letter from his/her chief to
avoid looting other people’s farms. Major General Lujang calls on citizens
to be patiently calm.
