South Sudan’s national dialogue committee wants mediators of the East African regional bloc IGAD to intervene and persuade opposition groups to participate in the dialogue process in Juba, a member of the committee said. Deng Dau Deng, a member of the national dialogue committee, told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that a high-level committee was set up to travel to Addis Ababa to meet IGAD mediators so as to convince all opposition groups to accept Kiir’s national dialogue.Dau revealed that there are other two sub-committees that will go to internally displaced persons and refugees in neighbouring countries. Dau, who is also a member of parliament, admitted that the national dialogue is facing enormous challenges that include bad road conditions and reservations on the national dialogue by refugees and rebel groups. However, the official expressed optimism about the chances of reaching an amicable solution in the country. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
