The newly appointed leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-North), Abdul-Aziz Adam Al-Hilu, has arrived in areas under the Movement’s control in South Kordofan State for the first time since he was appointed to the position by the Nuba and Blue Nile councils. On 10 June, the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile legislative councils removed Malik Agar from the leadership together with Secretary General Yasser Arman after they rejected Al-Hilu’s demand for the self-determination. In an interview with Radio Tamazuj on Friday, SPLM-North spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi confirmed the arrival of Al-Hilu to the liberated areas of the Nuba Mountains. He pointed out that the new chairman will carry out wider consultations with top leaders before the extra-ordinary general convention takes place. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
