The government of Eastern Lakes State has handed over 126 heads of
cattle which were raided by the community of Atuot and Ciec to the
Aliap community.

More Than 100 Raided Cattle Returned To Owners In Eastern Lakes

YIROL, 26 July 2017 [Gurtong]-The cattle were recovered from cattle
camps of the  Malek, Adior, Nyang and Yirol North Counties and was
witnessed by government officials and the committee tasked to recover
the recent raided cattle North of river Nile.

In an official statement after handing over the raided cattle by the
obligated committee, Eastern Lakes State Governor, Hon. Bor Wutchok
Bor said the State anticipates peace and tranquility to prevail among
the communities of Eastern Lakes.

“We are very much concerned and that is why as a government we have
formed four committees to apprehend the culprits who instigated the
fighting which erupted in the cattle camps along the Nile particularly
Pakuac cattle camp.” Said Bor.

He vowed that those behind the killings and looting of properties will
be apprehended to face the law.
