Sudan’s constitutional court recognizes children born of Sudanese and S Sudanese parents
The highest judicial body in Sudan has accepted to grant citizenship to children born of a Sudanese mother and South Sudanese father and vice versa, a Sudanese lawyer said. Refaat Mekkawi, Director of Al-Nas Center for Legal Aid in Khartoum, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that the constitutional court has upheld a complaint presented by the centre regarding the case of Adil Burrei and others who have dual citizenship.
