United Nations Missions in South Sudan or UNMISS has more work to do
with the government regarding the mandate of the Regional Protection
Forces or RPF, says Chief.

David Shearer said placing the RPF base near Juba International
Airport is not something new part and parcel of their mandate
according to the UN Security Council Resolution.

Minister of Information, Michael Makuei Lueth says the Regional force
should not be based close to the airport because they have allocated
land for them already.

He explains that the protection of the airport is a duty of the South
Sudan’s government.

Head of the Political Science in the University of Juba, Jacob Chol
cites the two parties need to go back to the mandate that the UN
Security Council Resolution first developed.

He thinks, the airport should be left to the government to provide protection.

The first contingents of Rwandan troops arrived in Juba two weeks ago
