By Garang Abraham Malak JUBA, 18 September 2017 [Gurtong]-Speaking to journalists upon arrival at Juba International Airport on Saturday, the Minister of Higher Education, Justin Yien Lam Tut said a consultative meeting organized by the Islamic Development Bank and African Development Bank in Saudi Arabia where a delegation led by him from South Sudan attended focused on changes of higher education, higher learning and general education in Africa. Yien Lam revealed that the meeting was very successful initiating that South Sudan was taken as a case study for development and for support. He said this was because the challenges South Sudan is currently facing is both affecting the higher education and general education within South Sudan. He added that the delegation managed to present a way forward with follow ups and procedures to get support that will often help the higher institutions in South Sudan. “We are now looking forward for the success of the recommendation of the meeting as well as the support offered to higher learning institutions in South Sudan” he stressed.
