Rebels in Northern Bahr al Ghazal say in talks with Agwelek to coordinate operations
A rebel group calling itself South Sudan Patriotic Army (SSPA) in Northern Bahr al Ghazal said it is in contact with Agwlelek forces allied to former First Vice President Riek Machar in Upper Nile to coordinate military operations against Kiir’s administration. SSPA is under the command of Agany Abdel-Baqi Ayii Akol while Agwelek fighters are under the command of General Johnson Olony. Agany Abbdel-Baqi Ayii, leader of the SSPA rebel group, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that his movement wants to topple Kiir’s government in Juba. He claimed that they are in contact with the Shilluk militia in Upper Nile State known as Agwelek in order to coordinate military operations against the current government in Juba. Radio Tamazuj could not reach General Olony to comment on Agany’s claims. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
