$ play -V -V # => http://ix.io/4nP
$ gdb play # => http://ix.io/4nQ
$ gdb play # including -V -V # => http://ix.io/4nR

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install sox with pacman -S sox
2. try to execute /usr/bin/play

Message:
This is specific to the Debian package (see http://bugs.debian.org/676167
for background information). Either update to 14.4.0-5 or 14.4.1-1, or use
one of the workarounds: Setting AUDIODRIVER=oss, or using play file -t oss.
