Message:
For me, 14.4.0 handles AMR files (such as recorded by my android) OK,
be it sox, soxi, or play.

Can you please provide an example file which 14.4.0 cannot handle?

It was built against opencore-amr-0.1.2-1.el5, let me know if there is any
other info you require.

Message:
Do you know if your SoX was built against opencore-amr or amrnb?
(If you don't and you are using a package from a distribution, can you
specify your GNU/Linux distribution please?)
