(Please make you Subject fit one line.) This seems interesting, mostly for speech, being a technical recommendation of the EBU (but surely applies to any signal).
I am not familiar with most of that, but in the meantime, you might want to have a look at how "loudness" is dealt with in Praat https://www.fon.hum.uva.nl/praat/ , a phonetics software specificaly aimed at the study of speech.
