Did you look at the pydoc documentation?
Its not really complete but I find it informing enough to find out how
something works. (Together with a few short experiments with these
functions)

I agree with you here, I'd be happy if I could contribute something to
the website (I dont know how the authors whink about those ideas) but
before april I wont have the time for somthing like that :-/
