I'm seeking help getting morph target support into Soya's cal3d module.

Amoung other things, it'll allow us to make characters which players can tweak
based on certain criteria (hair style, clothing, etc) which armeture animation
and skinning cannot do.

Cal3d seems to support this as a process between the animation mixer and
deformation, applying morph targets to the mesh before posing them.

To see how powerful morph targets can be, take a look at blender's MakeHuman
0.8b - there's roughly a hundred different morph targets which can be applied
to change virtually every aspect about a human model; her to him, type of
face, muscle or fat in different areas, etc.

Obviously these wouldn't all be used in realtime except on extremely highend
video cards, but simple things like choosing hair style, mouth movement and
eye blinking, how large the character's upper arms are (strength), etc.

It'd be nice to have size keys supported too (not just locrot).

Jump on IRC or reply to me if you're interested in putting in a few hours over
the next week or two to help.
