Actually there's a partial-third that should be mentioned (this is new):

 - Marcin Pertek, Python interface for writing Mozilla (NPAPI) plugins

Marcin's project aims to build a complete interface such that a
developer can write a Mozilla plugin using PyGame, Soya, wxPython, etc
with full integration with the DOM model via py-xpcom. This means that,
should this student complete his project, by the end of the Summer we'll
be able to integrate Soya with Firefox. :-)

I'll be co-mentoring this along with Mark Hammond, the maintainer of
py-xpcom, helping with the graphics/multimedia integration side.

Actually 7 ;-) 8 if you count Marcin.

Any of the other students who want to work on their proposals anyways
will STILL receive help and, if desired, mentoring through the Summer.
We don't care that you're not getting paid if you don't.

There's also going to be a number of bounties valued between $25 and
$250 for specific features, enhancements, and bugfixes related to Soya
as well as models/artwork and program code utilizing Soya.

These will be published on the ticket system at http://www.soya3d.org/
with a custom color and report view to stand out. I'm currently talking
to several organizations about sponsoring features that interest them.

While I want to encourage developers to work on things that interest
them, despite wether there's money involved, this may be a great way to
help Soya developers and artists to put more time into free software :-)

Thanks go to Jiba and Buddha Buck as well - without mentors these
proposals would have never been approved.
