"Thanks for coming out with us. Have a good night, sir." Joe said to
his boss.
"You're off duty Joe...it's David." he smiled and started to walk
away.
Then to the lady, "Want to play another round? Loser buys the last
drink?"
David couldn't resist, "Joe...here.." he threw him a large coin, "I'll
save you the agony of buying a drink when you lose." he smiled and waved as
he left.
Audra had been about to answer Joe's question, when David jumped in.
She had to fight back a smile. She had to wonder if the comments were all
in
good fun or not. They seemed to be such good friends. At the same time,
there seemed to be a bit of cruel nature to them as well. She just didn't
know either of them well enough to be sure.
Joe mock laughed, "You are a funny man David...."
      David smiled broadly.
"We aprreciate you paying for the next round, David. It was very nice
of you. Besides, I am not really all that experienced at playing darts.
Joe
could just beat me. You could have saved me the credits."
Joe smiled. Maybe he had a chance, but then again. Either way he
would keep some of his own money.
David laughed, "All in a day Audra...good night...nite Joe, I'll see
you in
the morning."
      David left.
Audra turned back to Joe after saying goodbye to David. "Well, I am
ready whenever you are," she said as she gave him a set of darts.

Joe took the darts and threw them one at a time. Hitting the rim,
17, and a 20. Not quite as bad as the first time he did this. Perhaps his
luck was changing, or was it skill..... the luck...

"Not too bad for a piss poor darts thrower, and a heck of a lot better
than last time." joe mused to his competitor. "Your turn..." he said as
he handed the darts over to her.
