Matt waited while the two security types hashed it out.  "What else can I
tell you?" he said.  "My memories of that night are still very fuzzy.  I
went to the holodeck, I went inside, locking the door to keep the assailant
from escaping and to keep anyone else from putting themselves in jeopardy.
After that..."  He frowned in thought.  He still had little more than
flashes of things that he couldn't be certain were memories or
hallucinations.

"What kind of sense did you get of the assailant?  Did you see the person or
get any time of feeling about the person in the holodeck?" asked the Security
Chief.
Matt closed his eyes in concentration.  "He... no.  She.  It was a female.  Bipedal hominid."  A bit more thought.  "With a helluva roundhouse kick."  His hand went to his temple and massaged it as the pain came flooding back.  *That* came back without any difficulty at all.
