(OOC:  Sorry about the delay in this.  It has been a bad week of work in
library land.  Staff shortages really suck!  Anyway, it looks like only 2
weeks before I am forced to shave my head.  I promised my teens that if they
read a total of 150 books in 7 weeks for the summer reading program I would
shave my head.  It looks like they are going to do it.)

Audra had decided to take a shuttle back to the station.  It would give her a
little more time to relax.  She had enjoyed her fishing trip with Admiral
Lasiter, but it had not been what she would call relaxing.  She did wish that
she could spend more time with him, though.  He reminded her a great deal of
her father.

She took a PADD out of her jacket pocket.  As she told Lasiter, she was not
one who easily left work behind.  She decided to take a look at the notes she
had been preparing on the shuttle bombing case she had been working on with
Admiral Izata.

She knew that the explosive was placed on the shuttle between the time it
left Spacedock and the time that it was inspected onboard the Venasian
Cruiser. The explosion that nearly killed the delegation was of Venasian
origin. She knew that the crew chief was not at diligent in his examination
of the craft before he signed off on it, due to personnel and scheduling
issues. She also knew that the senior specialist working on the shuttle had
knowledge of explosives (handling, use, etc) from a background in secruity.
She also had the feeling that he was shifty, possibly had something to do
with the explosion- as he was the only one working on the part of the shuttle
that carried the explosive.

He would have been the obvious choice for the person to plant the bomb, but
he did not appear to have much of a motive and definitely not much in the
area of access to Venasian explosives.  Unless....

From her talk with Lasiter on the fishing trip she discovered that there was
a militant faction within the Venasian Government that distrusted the
Federation, and wanted the peace with the Federation to end.  This faction
was growing, and that alarmed the CinC.

What if he was supplied with the materials and the motive (i.e credits) to
plant the bomb by the Venasian militant faction.  It would have allowed for
the faction to strike a blow for their cause without breaking one the most
important precepts of Venasian society.

Ambassador D'amondra had said that Venasians do not kill other Venasians. It
is a virtual impossibility, so there must be someone of non-Venasian origin
helping the militant faction of the Venasian Govt. The Ambassador hinted at
several things in their conversation to lead Audra to believe that the
General A'amon may be part of the faction that seeks to destroy the fragile
peace between the Federation and the Venasians

Moving on..... Chief Investigator Telax was killed by a non Venasain, as
Venasians do not kill each other. The Militant Faction within the Venasian
Govt must be working with beings within the Federation to access the
investigation and to have killed the Chief Investigator. The bomber may know
the identity of Chief Investigator Telax's murderer, or he/she/it may in fact
be that same being............

Audra came to a conclusion.  She needed to talk with Commander K'Tael and
Admiral Renaud.  When the shuttle docked, she quickly made her way to station
security and buzzed Commander K'Tael's office.

(Anyone home?)
