SPD: At the Press Conference

"Thank you, sir.  I think that we are probably going to be spending quite a bit of time together so it has been a wonderful opportunity to get to know you.  I hope you and Jafira come to think of Spacedock as your home."

Dais nodded with a smile.

> With that the two stepped into the Room to await the start of the
> Conference.

� � � � They walked in and saw Captain Boulay sitting in the front row, and
press all around.� A large caitian walked in as well.� This Commander walked
straight up to the SF Public Ralations officer in the front of the room and
started up a conversation.

Dais studied the room carefully.  It was interesting to see the mixture of people in the room.  It wasn't the variety of species, but the variety of careers.  Journalists, Starfleet personnel, and others.  Somehow it seemed to represent the possibilities of his new post.

It was brief, and when it was over the Caitian stood in the front corner of
the room as if he was waiting for someone.� The Public Relations officer
started.....

David nodded to Firehawk and the new person....

Audra nodded back to David.

Dais was not sure who the person was, but considering his rank insignia, he figured he would be getting a chance to know the person really well soon.

>A few moments after the initial speech from the first Public Relations

>seconds then some of the ruckus started.� Lasiter, Renaud and the two other
>press folks made their way to the front of the briefing room.

Lorin approached and stood slightly behind and to the right of Lasiter,
clasping his hands behind his back.

>Lasiter noticed Boulay and Firehawk with some new guy, as he took his place
>behind a podium.

Lorin smiled briefly at David and Firehawk before resuming his At-Ease position.
