"We all have things we would not care to be known by others, but if anyone
must know mine, it would be you," Carrhae replied.

She stood.  "Are you up to attempting this now?"

"No time like the present," he told her.  He approached her and placed his
hands on her face in the right positions.  It still felt awkward, this
Vulcan thing, especially since he wasn't as adept at it as he would like to
be.  He closed his eyes and reached out to her in his mind, probing for her
consciousness, while keeping an eye out for a stack of walled off memories
he'd left behind last time he'd been here.
