With the departure of Renaud, Lasiter turned more sub-dued and faced his old
friend.
"I have been told that you may have threatened the career of a
particular officer yesterday? I have been told that everytime Dr. Brennan
is brought up in conjunction with either attack on you that you become
agitated to the point where you are barely controlling yourself." Lasiter
said in a tone that was as subdued as he had become, pausing just briefly
before continuing. "Any truth to what I hear?"
