M'Rrenn made his way to Boulay, Firehawk, the new officer as soon as he could after Lasiter departed.
"Captain, Commanderrrs. I assume that the CinC will want to speak with each of you in his office. Please make yourrr way therrre as quickly as you can." M'Rrenn said to the group. Audra nodded her head in response, but said little else in response. Then turning to Commander Dais, "Commanderrr, welcome to Spacedock. I am Commanderrr M'Rrrrrrenn, Admirrral Lasiterrr's chief of staff. Please forrrgive my rrrudeness at not making intrrroductions soonerrr. I am pleased to be worrrking with you." the 2 meter tall Caitian added. "Thank you, Commander. Considering current events as I understand them, it is not a problem. I am hopeful that I will live up to everyone's expectations. This definitely sounds like an assignment that can provide a challenge and a chance to excel." "Miss Firehawk has been extremely helpful in briefing me and providing me with a tour. Admiral Lasiter could not have assigned anyone better suited." The big cat grinned slightly. "You will do just fine herrre if you have iniative, and you can manage not have the Admirrrals hearrr too much about you. Always a good thing if you take some of the little things off theirrr plate so they do not have to deal with them. If you know what I mean." Dais could not help but smile at the Caitian. He was someone that Dais could see himself becoming quite friendly with. "I think I do. Though, I appreciate hearing it from someone who knows." Later.... Sitting in the outer office was Commander Dais (the new station XO), LCMR. Firehawk (station Ops Manager), and Commander M'Rrenn the (Chief of Staff). "Commander Dais, I am sorry that you had to come in today in the middle of a mess, but I am afraid that could not be helped. I am sure that Commander Firehawk has brought you up to speed on things here?" "Yes, sir. I appreciate everything she has told me. It seems like the station has been experiencing a few months of excitement on a number of fronts." "I am glad to hearrr that. Now I want to let you in a little secret. With all of this mess going on the Brrrasss is very busy and a bit tense. Anything that you can do to play gate keeperrr for them would be a good thing. Take carrre of the rrroutine happenings, and botherrr them with the details after they have been taken carrre of. If therrre is anything that I can do forrr you just call. Admirrral Lasiterrr is the same way." Dais nodded. "I appreciate the offer. I believe that I understand my responsibilities. I don't think that I will have any problems with them."
